Million Dollar Band To March In Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade For First Time
For the first time in school history, the Million Dollar Band will march in the historic Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The University of Alabama's Million Dollar Band is set for its first-ever appearance in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade next week.

To tease the once-in-a-lifetime performance in New York City, the Million Dollar Band opened its Saturday halftime show with "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" during Alabama's game with Arkansas. Fans were treated to some of the sounds that parade attendees will hear, in addition to seeing the band in a Christmas tree formation.

"The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is one of America's iconic holiday traditions," UA professor of music and director of bands Ken Ozzello said. "Having the opportunity to participate will be thrilling for the members of the Million Dollar Band and provide them with life-long memories."
The Million Dollar Band was selected from more than 100 applicants as one of nine bands to march in the parade.
