Millport Man Killed, Woman Injured In Friday Crash Near Coker
A Millport man is dead following a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon on U.S. Highway 82 west of Coker.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A Millport man is dead following a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon on U.S. Highway 82 near Coker.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency says the fatal wreck occurred at approximately 3 p.m. Friday when a 2001 Ford F-150 driven by 48-year-old Michael J. White struck a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by a 17-year-old juvenile.

ALEA pointed out that after the initial collision, the F-150 overturned and fatally injured White.
His female passenger, a 52-year-old Millport woman, was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa for medical treatment.

ALEA said White was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
