Missing UA Student Located Safe In Starkville, Mississippi

TPD says a University of Alabama student reported missing on Wednesday has been located in Starkville, Mississippi and is safe.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Police Department says a University of Alabama student who was last seen Tuesday has been located in Starkville, Mississippi and is safe.

TPD said authorities in the Mississippi college town located John Charles Lombardo, 21, who was reported missing in Tuscaloosa Wednesday.

Lombardo was reportedly at a location near the Mississippi State University campus on Thursday, where officers with the Starkville Police Department made contact with him Thursday afternoon.

TPD says he informed officers he was there to visit a friend.

Lombardo’s mother, according to police, spoke with officers Wednesday, saying she had not heard from him since a phone call around 6 p.m. Tuesday. His roommate also reported him missing around 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, saying he had not seen him since the previous day.
