TUSCALOOSA, AL — The wait is nearly over!

Mo'Bay Beignet Co. — a popular Mobile-based beignet restaurant — has announced it will open its third Alabama location in Tuscaloosa on Friday, July 1. A grand opening celebration will be held from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m..

As Patch previously reported, Brooks and Hon Beck, a husband and wife duo from Mobile, will be the franchisees for its new Tuscaloosa eatery.

The new restaurant is located 401 23rd Avenue in downtown Tuscaloosa — the former location of 4th & 23rd, which closed its doors for good in 2016.

The property owner is listed as local businessman Charles Spurlin, who also owns other properties on the same block.

Mo'Bay Beignet Co. is open seven days a week at its two other locations, which can be found at 451 Dauphin Street in Mobile and 155 College Street in Auburn.
