Kennedy then said investigators interviewed multiple witnesses, before executing search warrants and gathering evidence that resulted in arrest warrants being obtained on 30-year-old Calvin Lee Willis for murder and certain persons prohibited from possessing firearms.

Willis was booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail, with a cash bond set at $150,000 cash for the murder.

Kennedy went on to say that Willis was also linked to another unrelated shooting incident that occurred earlier in the evening, during which a victim sustained minor injuries.

For that separate shooting, Willis was charged with attempted murder.

"The investigation is ongoing, and other charges may be forthcoming," Kennedy said. "The motives for these shootings at this time is still under investigation."
