Nine-Year-Old Girl Killed In ATV Wreck Tuesday On Hagler Coaling Road

The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is investigating the circumstances around a four-wheeler wreck the claimed the life of a child Tuesday.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit says a nine-year-old girl was killed Tuesday in an ATV accident in Coaling,

The mult-agency unit's commander, Captain Jack Kennedy, told Patch that the accident occurred in the 1200 block of Hagler Coaling Road around 5:00 p.m.

"The child was riding a side-by-side ATV on private property at the time of the accident," Kennedy said.

Kennedy then said VCU conducted a death investigation after Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Deputies initially responded and no criminal activity is suspected.
