No. 3 Alabama Falls To No. 6 Tennessee 52-49 In SEC Road Shootout
Alabama fell in a Saturday evening shootout in Neyland Stadium as Tennessee hit a 40-yard field goal to win the game as time expired.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A story nearly two decades in the making, No. 6 Tennessee topped No. 3 Alabama in a shootout in Neyland Stadium Saturday that ended with a 40-yard Tennessee field goal to put the Volunteers up 52-49 as time expired on the clock.

The loss represents the Tide's first of the season, as Alabama drops to 6-1 on the season and 3-1 in SEC play. It also marks the first loss to the Volunteers in 15 seasons.
