No. 7 Alabama Trounces Auburn 49-27 In 87th Iron Bowl

The Crimson Tide clinched a 10-win season Saturday with a convincing win over in-state rival Auburn in Bryant-Denny Stadium.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The No. 7 Alabama Crimson Tide clinched a 10-win season and likely blocked its rival Auburn from bowl eligibility on the year with a 49-27 win over the Tigers and interim head coach Cadillac Williams.

In what will likely be his last game in Tuscaloosa, reigning Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young threw for more than 300 yards, accounting for three scores through the air and one on the ground.

Alabama receivers Ja'Corey Brooks and Traeshon Holden each had touchdown receptions, while Tide running back Jase McClellan also added receiving and rushing scores in the winning effort.

Alabama finishes the regular season 10-2, with losses to Tennessee and LSU, while the Tigers will end the campaign at 5-7.
