TUSCALOOSA, AL — For the second time this season, No. 8 Alabama men's basketball knocked off a top-ranked team, which came Saturday in a 71-65 win over the No. 1 Houston Cougars at the Fertitta Center.

Alabama improved to 8-1 on the season while delivering the Cougars' first loss of the 2022-23 campaign. The comeback win for Alabama is complimented by the Crimson Tide's four-overtime win over the North Carolina Tar Heels on Nov. 27.

Freshman forward Noah Clowney led the Tide with a double-double, scoring with 16 points and grabbing 11 rebounds on the day.
