No Injuries After Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing In Tuscaloosa
Patch has confirmed that multiple agencies are on the scene of an emergency landing in the area of Charlie Davis Road.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Police Department provided further details after a small plane was forced to make an emergency landing in a field off of Sanders Ferry Road in Fosters Friday morning.

TPD says the pilot was heading toward the Tuscaloosa National Airport around 10:20 a.m. when the plane lost power at a low altitude. The pilot was then able to land the Cessna 150 on private property on Charlie Davis Road, off Sanders Ferry Road.

Police also said the two-seater plane clipped a guide wire of a power pole, resulting in minor damage to one of the wings.
TPD said Alabama Power technicians immediately responded to repair the wire and no service was interrupted.

The pilot — a 46-year-old Hoover resident — was the only person in the plane at the time and was not injured.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are now handling the investigation.
