Mr. Bill's Southern Diner — located at 2715 McFarland Boulevard in Northport — announced on its social media pages Saturday that the restaurant would close immediately after 31 years in business.

While it is unclear at this time what exactly prompted the abrupt closure, the restaurant has been public with its issues over staffing, which presented itself as recently as February amid a nationwide labor shortage, particularly in the service industry.
