Northport To Honor Those Killed In Kabul Airport Bombing During Memorial Day Program

The City of Northport on Friday announced it will host a Memorial Day program on May 29 at Northport City Hall.

NORTHPORT, AL — The City of Northport on Friday announced it will host a Memorial Day program on May 29 at Northport City Hall.

The event is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. and will honor those who gave their lives in military service for the country.

The program will be held in conjunction with the American Legion Post 123 and the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 301, who plan to honor the 13 service members killed during the evacuation of the the Kabul airport in Afghanistan on Aug. 26, 2021.
