Northport Man Killed In Pickens County Double-Homicide

A Northport man was one of two people killed in a Sunday evening shooting in Reform, authorities have confirmed.

REFORM, AL — Two men, including a Northport resident, were killed in a shooting Sunday evening in Reform, authorities have confirmed.

The Reform Police Department was reportedly called to a residence in the 300 block of Fifth Street Southwest at 5:30 p.m. Sunday on the report of a shooting. Once on scene, police found two men dead from gunshot wounds in the driveway of the home.

Pickens County Coroner Chad Harless has identified the two deceased men as Qualyin Smith, 23, of Columbus, Mississippi and Christopher Hill, 27, of Northport.

Investigators with the 24th Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office, Pickens County Sheriff’s Department and the Reform Police Department processed the scene at the residence and the investigation remains ongoing

The DA's office said no arrests have been made at the time.
