Northside High Hires Jeremy Madden As Next Principal

SAMANTHA, AL — Northside High School on Tuesday announced that Jeremy Madden has been hired as the school's next principal.

Madden comes to NHS after serving as the principal at his alma mater, Russellville High School, since 2022. Before his work at Russellville High, he served for a decade as the principal of Fayette County High School.

After graduating high school in 1993, Madden began his collegiate studies at Northwest-Shoals Community College before transferring to the University of North Alabama.

At UNA, Madden received a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and went on to earn master’s and doctoral degrees in administration from the University of Alabama.

Before making the move to administration, Madden also worked as a teacher at Belgreen High School, Haleyville Elementary School, and Fayette County Elementary, where he eventually was promoted to assistant principal.

The Tuscaloosa County School System is set to begin its fall semester on Thursday.
