Northside High Hires Justin Thompson As Next Baseball Coach

Northside High announced that Tuscaloosa County School System educator Justin Thompson has been hired as the Rams' new head baseball coach

SAMANTHA, AL — Northside High School on Monday announced that Tuscaloosa County School System educator Justin Thompson has been hired as the Rams' new head baseball coach.

Prior to being named head baseball coach, Thompson was an assistant on the Northside High football team, where he coached backs and defensive backs, in addition to working as a physical education teacher at Faucett-Vestavia Elementary School in Northport.

Thompson is a 2000 graduate of Pickens Academy and went to to graduate in 2004 from Huntington College in Montgomery, where he lettered in basketball and baseball.

Thompson also holds a Masters Degree from the University of West Alabama.

Along with teaching, he has also coached at the private school level at Pickens Academy and Bessemer Academy, along with in public school at Loudon High School in Tennessee and Tuscaloosa County School System schools such as Hillcrest High School, Northside, and Faucett-Vestavia.

Thompson is married to the former Stefanie Lavender and the couple has three children.
