The Tuscaloosa Police Department's Traffic Homicide Unit said the University of Alabama Police Department and TPD responded at approximately 1:56 p.m. to the intersection of McCorvey Drive and Campus Drive West after receiving reports that a vehicle had struck a tree near Marr’s Spring.

First responders attempted life-saving measures at the scene, but the driver was pronounced dead.
