One Dead After Monday Crash On University Of Alabama Campus

TUSCALOOSA, AL — One person died Monday afternoon following a single-vehicle crash on the University of Alabama campus.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department's Traffic Homicide Unit said the University of Alabama Police Department and TPD responded at approximately 1:56 p.m. to the intersection of McCorvey Drive and Campus Drive West after receiving reports that a vehicle had struck a tree near Marr’s Spring.

First responders attempted life-saving measures at the scene, but the driver was pronounced dead.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department’s Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating the crash and will work to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
