TUSCALOOSA, AL — One person is dead and a homicide investigation is underway following a Saturday night shooting at a Tuscaloosa apartment complex.

Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, says Tuscaloosa Police were called at 11 p.m. to the 400 block of 8th Avenue NE — River Road Apartments — on the initial call of a shooting.

Kennedy said one male subject at the scene was found dead of a gunshot wound.
No arrests or persons of interests have been publicly identified.
