One Dead After Shooting At Foster's Ferry Road and 21st Street
The identity of the victim killed in a Tuesday night shooting has not been released at this time and no arrests have been made.
TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit says one person is dead and a murder investigation underway after a Tuesday night shooting at the intersection of Foster's Ferry Road and 21st Street at approximately 11 p.m.
After Tuscaloosa Police received a call of the shooting and arrived on scene, one subject was immediately transported to DCH Regional Medical Center but died shortly thereafter.
Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the unit, said the shooting occurred in the roadway, and no nearby residences are believed to be involved.

"There is no ongoing threat to the community at this time," he said.
The multi-agency Violent Crimes Unit was called out to assume the murder investigation, which is considered ongoing and active.
