One Dead After Shooting At Tuscaloosa Apartment Complex Sunday

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is on the scene of a fatal shooting at a Tuscaloosa apartment complex that occurred earlier Sunday evening.

Tuscaloosa Police Department spokeswoman Stephanie Taylor told local media that TPD dispatch received a call at 7:40 p.m. that a man had been shot at Aspen Village Apartments, which is located in the 2200 block of 48th Street East.

Taylor said officers arrived at the apartment complex and found that the man had died from his injuries.
She went on to say a suspect has been taken into custody and the case is now being handled by the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit.
