One Dead After SUV Collides With Train In Tuscaloosa
The Tuscaloosa Police Department says a man in his 30s is dead after the SUV he was driving collided with a moving train overnight.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Police Department says one person is dead following an overnight accident involving a train in Tuscaloosa just after 12:35 a.m.

TPD says investigators believe the driver of an SUV struck the train near the intersection of 16th Street and Queen City Avenue. The SUV was then reportedly pushed by the train about 100 yards to the area behind Tuscaloosa Fire Station 1 at Greensboro Avenue and 16th Street.

TPD then said paramedics responded and discovered a man in his late 30s, who had died at the scene.
Police have notified the victim's family and his identity will be released soon.
