One Dead After Vehicle Goes Into Lake Off Holly Springs Road

The department's dive team is on scene and a victim has been located, according to local fire and rescue officials.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue says one person is dead after a two-vehicle accident Friday morning off Holly Springs Road on Highway 43 North that resulted in one vehicle going into Lake Tuscaloosa.

TFR spokeswoman Holly Whigham told local media that the department's dive team is on scene and a victim has been located.

"We are assisting Carroll's Creek and waiting on the state to arrive," she said early Friday morning.
