One Dead, 2 Year Old Injured In Shooting Near Tuscaloosa Park

TUSCALOOSA, AL — One person is dead and a two-year-old in critical condition after a shooting Sunday afternoon near Freeman Park in Tuscaloosa.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department confirmed to Patch that one person was pronounced dead at the scene and at least one person was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Captain Marty Sellers of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit said the shooting occurred in the 3000 block of Dragon's Lane.
The call of the shooting came in at around 4:30 p.m. at the park, TPD said. No arrests or suspects have been announced in connection to the shooting.
