Man Charged With Attempted Murder For Hay Court Apartments Shooting

One person was injured and an arrest is expected following a shooting Saturday at Hay Court Apartments.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — One person was injured and a man was charged with attempted murder following a shooting Saturday at Hay Court Apartments.

Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit Captain Marty Sellers told local media that the Tuscaloosa Police Department responded to the apartment complex around noon after receiving a call of a shooting.

"A dispute began between females and males got involved," Sellers said. "The males pull guns and multiple shots are fired. "

Sellers went on to say that a 29-year-old male was hit twice and is being treated for injuries not believed to be life-threatening injuries. He then said the investigation is ongoing but an arrest is expected.

Tylers Cooper, 29, was charged with attempted murder, shooting into and occupied dwelling and reckless endangerment. He was booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail, where his bond was set at $250,000.

Sellers said more information regarding the shooting will be released Monday.
