One Killed In Motorcycle Wreck During Tuscaloosa Funeral Procession

The Tuscaloosa Police Department says one person was killed shortly after noon in a motorcycle wreck during a funeral procession.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — One person was killed in a crash shortly after noon Saturday involving two motorcycles that were part of a funeral procession.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department said the wreck occurred at 12:18 p.m., resulting in the one confirmed fatality. It is unclear at this time if there were any other injuries and the identity of the person killed has not been made public.

TPD then said the area of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard by Short 19th Street will remain closed to traffic until further notice as the investigation moves forward.
