One Killed, Trooper Injured In Multi-Vehicle Crash In Tuscaloosa

One person was killed and a state trooper suffered minor injuries in a multi-vehicle crash Sunday morning on McFarland Boulevard.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — One person was killed and an Alabama state trooper injured in a multi-vehicle wreck Sunday morning at the intersection of McFarland Boulevard and Veterans Memorial Parkway.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department said the on-duty officer's injuries were minor and confirmed the one fatality. The identity of the person killed and further details about the crash have not been released at this time.

TPD says the crash happened at 9:35 a.m., resulting in McFarland Boulevard being blocked off to all traffic by police well into the afternoon hours as TPD's Accident Reconstruction Unit is processing the scene.
