Dubbed “A Retro Christmas,” the 46th installment of the annual event will be held on Dec. 5 and nominations are currently open for this year's grand marshal.

The first Christmas parade in Tuscaloosa County was held in 1976, with legendary Crimson Tide football coach Paul W. "Bear" Bryant as its grand marshal.
Nominations for grand marshal must be submitted by Saturday, Oct. 8.

Applications for parade entry are due by Nov. 15 and sponsorships are available at several levels.
