“We are excited to get this program started on May 1," PARA Executive Director & CEO Brian C. Davis said. "Our first responders are vitally important to our community, and this is one way we can give back to show our support. We hope to continue to build our relationship with all the men and women that serve us as first responders.”
PARA reportedly met with local first responder representatives at the Tuscaloosa County Emergency Operations Center to introduce the program. PARA said it was met with a positive response and individual membership is open to current first responder employees living in Tuscaloosa County.

“This is a great opportunity for our First Responders in Tuscaloosa County," Tuscaloosa County EMA Director Nick Lolley said. "PARA has been a great partner with this which will allow the first responders an opportunity to stay in shape which they need for the day in, day out responsibilities of their jobs.”
PARA then said once EMA partner agencies have opted-in to participate, their employees can bring their ID and visit any of PARA’s seven activity centers to enroll for membership.
