PARA Launches Registration For First-Ever eSports League

Late registration will be accepted through April 16 as gamers will have the chance to compete in Rocket League and NBA 2K21

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa gamers can now sign up to compete locally in the burgeoning arena of eSports as it will be offered for the first time in the history of Tuscaloosa County Park & Recreation Authority (PARA).

PARA will offer two leagues — one for 17 years old and younger, along with one for those over the age of 18. Birth certificates will be required for registration, with late signups accepted through April 16.

The League, which will see players compete in NBA 2K21 and Rocket League begins on April 19.
