PARA Reports Multiple Vehicle Break-Ins At Sokol Park South

PARA on Friday reported that officials have been notified of several vehicle break-ins at Sokol Park South over the last month.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa County Park & Recreation Authority (PARA) on Friday reported that officials have been notified of several vehicle break-ins at Sokol Park South over the last month.

In a post to its Facebook page, PARA said these burglaries have been ongoing despite having park rangers monitor the park's parking lots.

PARA says its staff has been working closely with the Tuscaloosa Police Department, which now has an extra patrol in the area.

TPD recommends citizens remove all valuables when leaving vehicles unattended and also asks visitors to secure their doors and windows at all times by locking their vehicles.
