NORTHPORT, AL — The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is looking for a person of interest after two people were shot last Friday in Northport.

As Patch previously reported, the shooting occurred in the 15000 block of Marina Drive near Lake Tuscaloosa in the overnight hours, with man and a woman suffering injuries not thought to be life-threatening

Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, told local media it is believed that this shooting stemmed from an ongoing disagreement between several individuals.
Kennedy said in an update Thursday morning that the VCU is searching for 20-year-old Tyler Isaiah Turner in regard to the investigation.

"Law enforcement has not been able to locate him since the time of this incident," he said. "Anyone who may have information as to his whereabouts is encouraged to contact the VCU."
Kennedy said those who believe they may have any information about the shooting or Turner's whereabouts are asked to contact the VCU at (205) 464-8690.
