ALICEVILLE, AL — An Aliceville man was killed Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Pickens County.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said Douglas Wilder, 37, was fatally injured when the 2005 Ford Five Hundred he was driving collided head-on with a 2017 Jeep Cherokee around 5:20 p.m. Monday, May 25.

ALEA said Wilder was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities also said the driver of the Jeep, a woman from Gordo, was injured and transported to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa for treatment.

A 10-month-old passenger in the Jeep was also injured and taken to an area hospital.

The crash occurred on Pickens County Road 2 near Patton Road, about four miles west of Aliceville.

No other details were immediately available as ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continues to investigate.
