Pickens County Man Dead, Three Others Injured After NYE Dispute

A Pickens County man was stabbed to death and three others were hospitalized for injuries they sustained during a family dispute.

REFORM, AL — A Pickens County man was stabbed to death and three others were hospitalized for injuries they sustained during a family dispute on New Year's Eve.

According to a press release from the 24th Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office, Reform Police officers were called to a residence in the 700 block of Third Street Northeast around 9 p.m. on Dec. 31.

During a dispute between several people at a family gathering, Antonio Plott, 41, of Carrollton, had been stabbed and died from his injuries.

Three other victims were hospitalized and treated for stab wounds.

According to the DA's Office, a 34-year-old man was airlifted to UAB Hospital in Birmingham and a 43-year-old woman was transported by ambulance to DCH Regional Hospital in Tuscaloosa.

Additionally, a 60-year-old woman was transported by private vehicle to DCH for treatment of less serious injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing and there have been no criminal charges filed at this time.
