Police Arrest Teen Suspects In Tuscaloosa Gas Station Shooting

Two Tuscaloosa teenagers are facing felony charges after a shooting at a gas station on Martin Luther King Boulevard late Tuesday night.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Two Tuscaloosa teenagers are facing felony charges after a shooting at a gas station on Martin Luther King Boulevard late Tuesday night.

Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said a victim arrived at DCH Regional Medical Center at approximately 11:30 p.m. suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Kennedy said after officers with the Tuscaloosa Police Department, it was found that the shooting occurred at the Exxon station in the 1500 Block of Martin Luther King Boulevard.

"After viewing area video surveillance, interviewing witnesses, and locating persons of interest, two subjects have been charged at this time," Kennedy said. "The suspects contacted the victim at the business with intent to commit a robbery, and fired at the victim multiple times."

The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit charged Keanthony Foster, 18, with attempted murder and first-degree robbery. A second suspect — Erica Leshay Thomas, 19 — was also charged with robbery in the first degree.

Kennedy said both suspects have been booked into the Tuscaloosa County Jail with no bond. pursuant to Aniah’s Law.
