Drowning Death Investigation Underway At Lake Lurleen State Park
Local authorities are investigating a potential drowning death that occurred at Lake Lurleen State Park on Sunday.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Investigators with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and other agencies are on the scene of a potential drowning death at Lake Lurleen State Park in northern Tuscaloosa County on Sunday.

Few details have been made public while the investigation is in its earliest stages, but the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office confirmed to Patch that investigators with the multi-agency Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit are also on the scene.

The dispatch call first came in at approximately 1:30 p.m., TCSO says.
