PRCA Of West Alabama Presents Membership Awards

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The West Alabama chapter of the Public Relations Council of Alabama recognized three members for outstanding service and professional excellence during the chapter’s first meeting of the year on Thursday.

The chapter’s Member of the Year Award was presented to Ashley Williams, director of marketing and communications at the Kentuck Art Center.

The honor recognizes a member who has demonstrated sustained commitment to the chapter, advanced its goals and objectives, and led by example.

The President’s Award went to Megan York, an underwriting account executive with Alabama Public Radio. Selected by the chapter president, the award honors exceptional leadership and service that significantly advance the mission of the West Alabama chapter, including support for chapter initiatives, peer mentoring and efforts to elevate the profession.

The Andra Clary Wilson PR Practitioner’s Award was awarded to Rebecca Minder, director of Alabama Heritage magazine.

The award recognizes excellence in public relations or communications, honoring professionals who have achieved success in their field while contributing to both the profession and the community.
