Rece Davis To Headline Pigskin Kickoff Event At University Church Of Christ
University Church of Christ on Wednesday announced its upcoming men's event, Pigskin Kickoff, is set for Monday, Aug. 7.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — University Church of Christ on Wednesday announced its upcoming men’s event, Pigskin Kickoff, is set for Monday, Aug, 7, and will feature Rece Davis, the host of ESPN College GameDay.

A University of Alabama graduate, Davis will headline the event and deliver the keynote address, in addition to insights into the world of college football.

The event will also feature an exclusive interview with former Alabama player Terry Jones, which will conducted by widely known radio personality Ryan Fowler.
The Pigskin Kickoff will take place at the University Church of Christ, which is located at 1200 Julia Tutwiler Drive.

Organizers say doors will open at 5:15 p.m and the program will begin at 6 p.m.
The Pigskin Kickoff will also host a silent auction to benefit Tuscaloosa Angels — a charitable organization dedicated to supporting local foster children and families. Attendees will be able to contribute to a worthy cause while also having the chance to win different prizes and experiences.
"We are delighted to host Pigskin Kickoff and welcome Rece Davis back to Tuscaloosa and the University of Alabama," Senior Minister of University Church of Christ Neil Reynolds said. "This event is not only a celebration of college football but also an opportunity to come together in order to demonstrate love and generosity to others through our support of Tuscaloosa Angels. Loving people in our city is central to our mission as a church."
Tickets for the event are priced at $25 and reserved tables for $350.
