Registration Opens For 2023 River Pitch Competition

Here's how aspiring entrepreneurs can have their ideas heard and win some potential seed money to forward their concepts.

The Alabama Entrepreneurship Institute (AEI) is once again set to host the River Pitch Competition, which was originally created to help innovators and entrepreneurs with new ideas and early-stage businesses obtain feedback on their work.

The event is set for Nov. 14 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Tuscaloosa River market.

Participants will have the opportunity to potentially win one of 10 different $1,000 prizes.

There is no entry fee for participants, with the event open to students, faculty, staff and community members.

AEI says the slate of competitors will be divided into separate booths with several individuals — a maximum of seven — competing at one of 10 different booths.

Participants will have up to three minutes to pitch their idea and the judges will have up to five minutes to ask questions.
