Registration Opens For 2026 Tuscaloosa Mayor’s Cup 5K

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The City of Tuscaloosa and Mayor Walt Maddox announced Monday that the 2026 Tuscaloosa Mayor’s Cup is set for Saturday, April 25.

The annual event will begin at 8 a.m. in downtown Tuscaloosa and will raise funds for the Tuscaloosa Pre-K Initiative — an effort that aims to expand Pre-K access for Tuscaloosa children.

Held since 2007, the annual 5K is open to all ages.

City officials said participants are welcome to run or walk, with timing chips attached to race bibs that will be used to determine race results. Awards will also be given.
