Registration For Salvation Army Angel Tree Set For Next Week
The local branch of the Salvation Army announced on Tuesday that registration will soon open for its annual Angel Tree adoption program.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The local branch of the Salvation Army announced on Tuesday that registration will soon open for its annual Angel Tree adoption program.

The Salvation Army says it will begin accepting applications for children who wish to participate in the organization’s Angel Tree adoption program from Oct. 9-12.

The program allows for those in the community to "adopt" a child to then buy Christmas presents for during the holiday season.
Registration is available in person or online from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day.

The nonprofit says online registration will begin Oct. 9 and can be found on its website by clicking here.
Children accepted but be child years of age or young, with guardians having to present the following information:
▪ Parent or legal guardians photo ID
▪ Proof of current address (utility bill, lease, etc.)
▪ Proof of all household income (including food stamps)
▪ Birth certificate or Medicaid card for 12 and under
▪ Clothing/shoe sizes and toy suggestions
All in-person registration will take place at the Salvation Army headquarters at 2902 Greensboro Avenue.
