Reward Offered For Information On Veterans Memorial Park Vandalism, Theft

A $1,700 cash reward has been offered for information regarding the vandalism and theft of property at Tuscaloosa Veterans Memorial Park

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A $1,700 cash reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the theft and vandalism of two battle crosses in Tuscaloosa Veterans Memorial Park in February.

During routine park patrols, officers with the Tuscaloosa Police Department (TPD) on Feb. 10 discovered that the helmet and rifle replica from the WWII battle cross had been stolen, in addition to the Korean War battle cross being damaged.

Those with information are asked to contact TPD’s Criminal Investigations Division at (205) 248-4520.
