Robertson To Deliver Keynote At Tuscaloosa Veterans Day Program

The program will once again be held in Veterans Memorial Park on Nov. 11 at 10 a.m. The event is free and open to the public.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa County Probate Judge Rob Robertson is set to be the keynote speaker at the the annual Veterans Day Program hosted by Tuscaloosa County Park & Recreation Authority’s Veterans Memorial Park Association, the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center and the University of Alabama Office of Veteran and Military Affairs.

Robertson served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves, attached to HQ Battery, 4/14 Marines in Bessemer — a field artillery unit.

Robertson also served as a Fire Directional Controlman but spent most of his tenure leading a land survey team, eventually obtaining the rank of Sergeant. What's more, the unit was activated during the Persian Gulf War and served stateside.

He has served as probate judge and chair of the Tuscaloosa County Commission since January 2019.

Other speakers will include LTC John Merkle, U.S. Army, Retired and Director of the Tuscaloosa V.A. Medical Center and SGM David Blair, U. S. Army, Retired and Director, University of Alabama Veteran and Military Affairs.
