Kelsey Rush To Headline Friends Of Historic Northport's Heritage Luncheon Next Week
Friends of Historic Northport has announced Visit Tuscaloosa President and CEO Kelsey Rush will be the featured speaker for the event.

NORTHPORT, AL — Friends of Historic Northport has announced Visit Tuscaloosa President and CEO Kelsey Rush will be the featured speaker for its 26th annual Heritage Luncheon on Friday, May 19.

The event is a primary fundraiser for the nonprofit, which oversees daily operations at the Historic Shirley Place, Northport Heritage Museum, the Historic Clements House and the Umbria Schoolhouse.

The Heritage Luncheon will be held at the Civic Center in Northport City Hall, with registration beginning at 11 a.m. and lunch served at 11:30 a.m.
Rush will deliver the keynote for the event. The nonprofit will also induct several people into the Northport Heritage Hall of Citizens and present the Marvin L.Harper Founders Award.

As Patch previously reported, Rush was announced as the president and CEO of Visit Tuscaloosa in May 2022 after she had served in various roles within the organization.
Rush has over a decade of experience in integrated marketing communications, event development, community relations and sponsorships.
Apart from her work at TTS, Rush has also worked in the banking industry, most recently at Bryant Bank, and holds several tourism and bank marketing credentials.
Rush is an executive board member for the West Alabama Chamber of Commerce, a board
member for Theatre Tuscaloosa, a steering committee member for Neighborhood Bridges, a cabinet member of the 2023 United Way of West Alabama campaign, and a volunteer for Junior
Achievement.
