Linden Man Charged In Fatal Shooting On Willow Lane
A second arrest has been made in the shooting death of a Tuscaloosa man last Friday on Willow Lane.
TUSCALOOSA, AL — A second arrest has been made and a Linden man charged with capital murder following the shooting death of 19-year-old of 19-year-old Versaun Leonard around 11:30 p.m. Friday night in the 3200 block of Willow Lane.
Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit Captain Marty Sellers said investigators Monday night arrested Justin Demond Jenkins, 21, charging him with capital murder, while also saying other arrests are likely coming.
The first arrest in the case saw Brenygha Edwards, 22, charged with capital murder on Saturday. However, Sellers said after consulting with District Attorney Hays Webb, the charge has been changed to felony murder. She is not a Tuscaloosa resident, as Patch previously reported.

Both Edwards and Jenkins are both being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail. Jenkins is being held without bond on the capital murder charge, while Edwards' bond has been set at $80,000.
