Issues Of Self-Defense Raised After Man Shot And Killed At Tuscaloosa Apartments

Investigators say the possibility of self-defense has been raised after a man was shot and killed around midnight at Water Oak Apartments.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Investigators say the possibility of self-defense has been raised after a man was shot and killed around midnight at Water Oak Apartments on Hargrove Road East.

Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, told local media that Tuscaloosa Police responded to the initial call, where a male subject was found shot and was transported to the hospital.

Kennedy said he did not survive his injuries.

What's more, Kennedy said a second subject remained at the scene and reported to responding police that he was involved in the shooting.

Kennedy went on to say that the investigation is ongoing and possible issues of self-defense have been raised and are being investigated.
