Shelton State Baseball Standouts Ink SEC Scholarships
Three Shelton State baseball stars are set to take their games to the next level after signing with SEC programs this week.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — As Shelton State Community College's baseball program eyes a return to the NJCAA World Series this spring, it will do it with at least three SEC signees on the roster.

This week, SSCC announced that infielder Walt Bailey, a Tuscaloosa native and former Hillcrest Patriot and Colorado native and fellow infielder Drake Logan had signed to play baseball for the University of Alabama.

Additionally, Prattville native Kyrin Long, an outfielder and pitcher for the Bucs, signed with Auburn this week.
Bailey and Logan both played key roles for the Bucs in the team's NJCAA World Series run in 2020.

They will also join former SSCC teammate Garrett McMillan, another former Hillcrest Patriot who signed with Alabama following the 2020 season and is listed on the 2022 roster for the Crimson Tide as a pitcher and infielder.
