October 6, 2021 – Students across the country who have the potential to develop into the next world-changing science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) professionals are often limited by access to resources, knowledge, and consistent support. Recently, Shelton State and the nonprofit Base 11 launched a partnership that will enhance students’ access, awareness, and belief required to become the next generation of STEM leaders.

Both Shelton State Collegiate 100 and Base 11 will work to advance the Next Frontier Initiative, a bold plan to accelerate 100,000 students, early-career adults, and entrepreneurs on their pathway to highly compensated STEM careers in the fastest-growing, technology-driven industry segments over the next 10 years.
“Our partnership with Base 11 will not only expose our Collegiate 100 students to the various STEM-related industries, but it will also offer a perfect opportunity to connect them in the community with the resources necessary for gainful employment in these fields,” said Collegiate 100 Sponsor, Eric Prewitt.

Students will have exclusive access to Innovation Challenges and job/internship opportunities from the top companies in STEM, as well career development resources, including mentorship from a diverse group of STEM professionals.
