Shelton State To Hold Information Session For Practical Nursing Dual Enrollment Program

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Shelton State Community College will host a free information session next month for high school students interested in practical nursing through dual enrollment.

The session is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, in the Alabama Power Recital Hall on the college’s Martin Campus in Tuscaloosa.

Shelton State says the event is aimed at students and parents who want to learn how dual enrollment can help students begin a health care career while still in high school.

College staff will provide details about the practical nursing program, admission requirements and how students can map out a nursing pathway during high school.

That will include recommended courses and other requirements aligned with Shelton State’s practical nursing program.
