Alabama One Credit Union this week honored Sipsey Valley High School junior quarterback L.J. Cormier for his recent performance.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Alabama One Credit Union this week honored Sipsey Valley High School junior quarterback L.J. Cormier for his recent performance in a win over West Blocton.

The son of former Crimson Tide standout and Major League Baseball pitcher Lance Cormier, L.J. Cormier was nominated for the honor by his head coach Joey Milligan.

In the 28-27 win over West Blocton, Cormier went 23-of-31 through the air for 285 passing yards and two touchdowns. On the ground, Cormier logged 80 yards on 14 rushing attempts and two rushing touchdowns.
Cormier was presented the award by Christy Moxley, who is a branch manager for Alabama ONE at its Rose Blvd Branch.
