South Bibb, Winfield Win Titles At AL Dixie Youth Baseball Tournament In Tuscaloosa

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Two west Alabama teams secured state championships during the 2022 Alabama Dixie Youth Baseball Division II State Tournament at Bowers Park in Tuscaloosa.

Tuscaloosa County Park & Recreation Authority (PARA) hosted the series of games from July 7-11, which featured over 400 young ballplayers for over 40 teams. The tournament represents the 14th tournament of the season to be played in Bowers Park.

The following teams won state championships in their divisions and will advance to the World Series.

The Winfield All-Stars (AA/8U) will advance to the Division I and II AA Coach Pitch World Series in Dothan, beginning July 29.

The South Bibb All-Stars (AAA/10U) will advance to the Division II World Series for the AAA division in Anderson, South Carolina, beginning July 29.

The Ariton All-Stars (Ozone/12U) will advance to the Division II World Series for the Ozone division in Anderson, South Carolina, beginning July 29.
