Spots Available For Northport Police Department's 'Teen Academy'
The Northport Police Department is set to host its annual Teen Academy on June 19 through June 23.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Northport Police Department is set to host its annual Teen Academy on June 19 through June 23.

The free class is aimed toward allow teens to learn about the day-to-day work of law enforcement through of a week of hands-on activities, interactive demonstrations, and field trips.

Classes will be from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. each day. Lunch will be provided at not cost to the attendee.
Participants will be able to take on an obstacle course, while also learning about the NPD Traffic Unit, police dispatch, online safety, drones and the NPD Tactical Team.

The deadline to apply is May 26.
